Abstract: A male plug locking device includes an inner socket body, elongated electrical contact elements disposed on the inner socket body, an outer housing disposed over the inner socket body and electrical contact elements, and locking cam elements disposed between the outer housing and inner socket body. The inner socket body is configured for receiving and engaging contact prongs of a male plug and for providing electrical connections with ends of the conductor wires of an electrical cord. The outer housing is mounted on the inner socket body to undergo movement relative thereto between first and second axially displaced positions.
